L.E.T. ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters. 2nd Round, Three Tied At The Top July 27 2013

ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters Three ladies are tied at the top of the leaderboard in the ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters tournament at the Buckingham Golf Club in Denham, England after the second round had been completed. Klara Spilkova / Getty Klara Spilkova, an eighteen year-old from the Czech Republic has joined yesterdays leaders, Caroline Masson and Ashleigh Simon at the top of the European Ladies Masters leaderboard on -12 under par. Klara said she had enjoyed a pretty good round today, seven birdies and one bogey for a -6 under par 66; “It was pretty good today, I really like the course. I enjoy the views and the greens are very good. I like the fairways to be a bit hard and the drivers run. I really want to win because it’s going to be my first and it would be something special.” Caroline was not happy at all with her last hole performance, a bogey and a -3 under par 69; “I’m not very happy about my finish, obviously. The only dropped shot today, on 18, I three-putted and that felt a bit unnecessary. I made a good save on 17 after I hit it in the water, so I hit some great shots today but ended up in a bad lie here or there. I couldn't get them as close as yesterday but that’s always what you expect when you play the next day, because you’re expectations are pretty high. I think I managed pretty well apart from 18. I’m still in the lead so I think it was a good two days.” Ashleigh also had a second round -3 under par 69, and is hoping to improve on last years performance, where she lead by two strokes going into the final round, but a poor round of 76 saw her fall to third; " Last year I was leading by two going into the final round here and I've learned from that hopefully,” Bree Arthur is alone in fourth spot, just one back on -11 under par, a second round of -6 under par 66 helped push her up the leaderboard. Charley Hull and Marion Ricordeau share fifth place, just two shots off the lead going into the final round at -10 under par, Charley has had five runner-up spots this year and is relishing the thought that this could be her tournament; “I’ve been in this position five times this year, so it should be good!” The leaderboard is tightly paced, and it will be a good contest tomorrow.
