Charlie Wi still leads the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am after the conclusion of the third round. He has a three shot lead over Ken Duke, who had a -5 under par round at the Monterey Penninsular course, for a total tournament score of -15 under par. A further shot behind is Tiger Woods who had a -5 under par round at Pebble Beach. There are a host of players back at -9, including Phil Mickleson, I think that is too many shots even for Phil to make up, but as we have seen in the last two weeks anything can happen in golf. When asked in the post match press conference about taking the lead into the last round, Charlie said; " I enjoy being in the lead. It's a lot more fun than trying to come back from behind. I know that tonight is going to be very exciting, and I'm sure I won't sleep as well as if I'm in 50th place. But that's what we play for and I'm really excited. I feel like my self-belief is higher than before and I really don't know why. Something turned over the last couple of months where I really feel comfortable with myself out there on the course. I definitely caught myself getting ahead today but I was able to get back to what I was doing and I was really happy about that. You know, I just know that I know how to compete and that I could shoot low when I need to and hang in there under pressure. Sadly for the Kiwi's Danny Lee slipped back to -4 and is now out of contention, although a good round tomorrow will give him a satisfactory result. Another regretful note, Bill Murray and D.A. Points failed to make the cut, so the defense of their title from last year has ended.
