Golf: Inaugural NZ PGA Pro-Am December 06 2011

A  new Pro-Am tournament has been announced for New Zealand. It is to be held in Arrowtowns The Hills golf course between March 29th and April 1st next year. I think it is a great idea and a good location, Arrowtown is close to Queenstown, with all that town has to offer visitors. The idea has come from the successful Alfred Dunhill championship, John Hart of  the NZ PGA Pro-Am committee said he felt inspired to bring this type of format to New Zealand. "Several years ago I was lucky enough to play in the Dunhill and I absolutely loved it,'' Hart said. Prime Minister John Key will formally announce the tournament today, and has also been invited to play. "I might play, they've asked me to. It's subject to my diary and whether I chicken out," Key said. "I'm improving. I do play but I've always been a bit of a bunny golfer. But I can kind of hit the ball OK." I would love to play in this event myself
